Glengormley Generosity to NICHS

Glengormley Cheque Presentation
The NICHS Support Group in Glengormley have raised an amazing £14,500 in the last year and the group want to thank the generosity of the people of Glengormley and surrounding area.

The majority of money was raised at various events such as the annual ten pin bowling competition, indoor bowling throughout the winter months, hearty lunch in 2011 and collections at local supermarkets. The Glengormley groups also received donations from the Rotary Club, Lenten Lunches and Farming events.

St Luke’s Bowling Club

St Luke’s Bowling Club, Loughgall presented Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke with a cheque for £700 after a charity bowling tournament. Jean Elliott, who organised the event, presented the cheque to Carla Smyth, local community community fundraiser. Jean said: “It’s great to know you are making a difference by supporting local charities.  I would like to thank everyone who participated in the tournament and enabled us to do this.”

 

Carla Smyth, local community fundraiser for the Armagh area, said: “I would like to thank the members of St Luke’s Bowling Club for all their efforts in making the tournament a great success and supporting NI Chest, Heart & Stroke.
